What can I say? The new Townhouses in Toronto, Ontario are increasingly becoming the most design forward, Eco-sound, and modernist masterpieces (not that older townhouses aren't beautiful too) ;).
I think Townhouses are a great buy option for anyone who wants to purchase a high-end condo, but wants a home with levels or on the ground, or for people who don't want to get into a bidding war for a detached home that is already over budget. April 2016 statistics for Townhouses shows the average price in the 416 area is $611,899 and 905 area comes in at $514,774 compared to Detached in 416 at $1,257,958 and even $881,413 in the 905. A two or three storey freehold townhouse in a great neighbourhood such as Trinity-Bellwoods can come in at $1M plus, however they are usually only a few years old, eco-friendly, modern/contemporary design, include parking/1 car garage, have a small backyard and even sometimes a rooftop deck or a balcony off your master suite. I, myself now want to be in the market for a Townhouse.

Again, some of these new townhouses are so future friendly and beautiful in design, like the ones below, Oben Flats - Harbord Towns. Unconventional modernist values are the wave of the future and kudos to Superkül Architects for creating Oben Flats Harbord Towns.
